Geriatric Nursing Care For Mns. N Through The Application Of Warm Water Foot Soak Therapy With Salt Mixture To Reduce Blood Pressure In Lam Neuheun Village Kuta Baro Aceh Besar

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which there is an abnormal and continuous increase in blood pressure over several examinations. Hypertension frequenly occurs in the enderly due to changes in blood vessels that cause blood pressure to rise further. One alternative that can be used to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients is warm water foot soak therapy with a salt mixture. This case study aims to obtain a picture of nursing care for lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients through warm water foot soak therapy with a salt mixture. The research method used is descriptive with a case study approach. The evaluasion result after 6 days of implementation showed a decrease in blood pressure and pain scale in hipertensive patients after undergoing warm foot soak therapy with added salt. Blood pressure decreased from 156/98 mmHg to 140/87 mmHg, and the pain scale decreased from 5 to 3. The warm water foot soak technique with a salt mixture can be used as one of the nursing care interventions to reduce blood pressure.
