Abstract

Violent behavior is a maladaptive response to stressors, often occurring in patients with mental disorders. This response can be harmful to the patient, others, and the environment. The purpose of this case study is to evaluate the effectiveness of dhikr therapy in reducing the risk of violent behavior in patients treated at the Aceh Mental Hospital. The study used a case study design for one patient with a nursing diagnosis of "risk for violent behavior." Nursing care was provided over five days, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on the application of dhikr therapy as an implementation strategy (SP). Therapy was administered once daily for approximately 15 minutes. Results showed a significant reduction in the frequency of violent behavior. The patient appeared calmer, more cooperative, and better able to control his emotions. In conclusion, dhikr therapy can be an effective intervention in managing the risk of violent behavior and can be combined with other emotional control techniques as part of a holistic nursing approach.
