Gerontic Nursing Care for Mrs. F with the Application Of Hypertension Gymnastics to Lower Blood Pressure In Lampuuk Village, Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar

Abstract

Abstract: Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure in the arteries where the blood pressure limit becomes abnormal above 140/90 mmHg. This case study aims to explain nursing care for Mrs. F with hypertension in Lampuuk village, Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar. The results of the study showed three main diagnoses, namely acute pain, sleep pattern disorders, and knowledge deficits. The method of this writing is a case study, by conducting an assessment on one respondent, namely Mrs. F. From the results of the assessment obtained, Mrs. F often feels headaches in the neck with a pain scale of 5, difficulty sleeping and lack of exposure to information about hypertension management. Vital signs of blood pressure are 160/100, pulse 99x / minute, respiration 23x / minute and temperature 36.5. The intervention given is hypertension exercise using 15 movements by slapping the hands, pulse, shoulders, hips, thighs, knees and stomach carried out for 5 minutes which is done for seven days. The patient's case evaluation revealed a decrease in blood pressure of 120/80 mmHg, pulse rate of 80 beats/minute, respiration rate of 22 breaths/minute, and temperature of 36 degrees Celsius. Mrs. F stated that she felt comfortable after doing the exercise, with reduced pain and difficulty sleeping soundly. It can be concluded that hypertension exercise is effective in reducing blood pressure.   Keywords: Nursing Care, Hypertension, Hypertension Exercise, Case Study.
